# AI coding assistant training for engineering teams

Clustr trains engineering teams on Claude Code, Codex, Google Antigravity, Cursor and GitHub Copilot: live sessions on your own repositories, shared rules files, safe permissions, and review rules that keep people accountable, measured with SINA, our AI literacy platform.

## Who trains engineering teams on AI coding assistants?

Clustr Innovations, a human-first AI enablement consultancy, trains engineering teams on Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google Antigravity, Cursor and GitHub Copilot. We are tool-agnostic: we train on the assistants you already license, run sessions in person or hybrid on your own code, and measure progress with SINA.

Every one of these tools now does far more than autocomplete. They plan changes, run commands, work in parallel and open pull requests. That makes the setup matter: the rules files the agent reads, what it is allowed to do on its own, and how its work gets reviewed. Most of our time goes there.

## Why do AI coding assistant rollouts stall?

Coding assistants are easy to buy and hard to adopt well. These are the gaps we see most.

### Licenses without habits

A few engineers become power users and most of the team keeps working the old way.

### No shared conventions

Without rules files and review norms, output quality varies by person.

### Security and admin gaps

Agents that run commands and open pull requests need permissions and policies before they scale.

### Too many tools, no guidance

Teams end up with several assistants and no agreement on which to use for what.

## How does AI coding assistant training work?

The same five steps for any tool, run on your codebase and your tickets.

### Baseline the team

Every participant takes a SINA assessment so sessions start from where each engineer actually is.

### Set up the repository

Write the rules files your codebase needs, agree on permissions, and connect the tools the team uses daily.

### Live sessions on your code

Hands-on sessions on your own repositories and tickets, in person or hybrid, with an instructor reviewing real output.

### Governance and review

Configure admin controls and agree on what agents may do alone and what always needs a person.

### Champions and measurement

Champions keep improving the shared setup, and SINA re-assessment shows leadership what changed.

## How do Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor and GitHub Copilot compare?

A practical comparison for teams choosing or standardizing. All five support MCP, hooks and reusable skills or plugins; the differences are in where they run and how teams configure them.

## We build with these tools ourselves

Our engineers use AI coding agents to build our own products and client workflows, and we teach Claude Code in our Claude 301 tier. In our Claude for RevOps webinar with InTandem we walked a live audience through Claude and Claude Code.

### Who trains engineering teams on AI coding assistants?

Clustr Innovations trains engineering teams on Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Google Antigravity, Cursor and GitHub Copilot. Sessions run live on your own repositories, in person or hybrid, with shared rules files, governance set up alongside the team, and progress measured with SINA, our AI literacy platform.

### Which AI coding assistant should our team use?

Usually the one that fits the stack you already pay for: GitHub Copilot if you live in GitHub and Microsoft, Codex if you run ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, Claude Code with Claude Team or Enterprise, Antigravity with Gemini Enterprise, and Cursor if your engineers want an agent-first editor. Many teams run two; we help set rules for which to use when.

### Do all of these tools support MCP and rules files?

Yes. Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor and GitHub Copilot all support MCP servers, hooks and reusable skills or plugins, and each reads a rules file such as CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md. The names and details differ, which is why we set up each tool on your repository rather than teaching it in the abstract.

### How do you keep AI coding agents safe?

We configure the vendor's own controls before agents scale: admin policies, permissions and sandboxing, single sign-on, and limits on what agents can reach. We also agree on review rules so a person approves every merge.

### Can you train non-engineers on these tools?

These tools are built for working in code, so we focus them on engineering and technical teams. For other teams we start with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or Gemini, and introduce coding agents to the people who will build with them.
